At the University Hospital of Martinique (UHM, CHU de Martinique), The NeuroSurgical Team collaborate with neurologists, Interventional radiologists,intensivists, critical care nurses and other specialists to address many problems affecting the brain, spine and nervous system. Thus, our NeuroSurgeons work alongside others physicians specialists in Medicine, Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Psychiatry and Neurology to provide a multidisciplinary approach for patients with some cancer of the central nervous system. Some treatments of Chronic Pain, including sophisticated Neuromodulation techniques are also available to our Caribbean Patients. The head of the Unit, Dr Norbert MANZO, MD, completed multiple Fellowships in Skull base and Cerebrovascular Surgeries

Our Brain Tumor Care Program

  • The Neurosurgery Department together with the Clarac Hospital Cancer Center offers state-of-the-art care in the diagnosis and treatment of a full range of common to rare brain tumors. Our multidisciplinary team consists of physicians and nurses from Neurosurgery, Neurology, Pediatric Neuro-Oncology, Neurotology, Medical Oncology, and Radiation Oncology. This team of experts sees more than 500 new patients annually with almost half treated for tumors that are benign.
